Adobe Updater to uninstall the Adobe Updater to uninstall Since they are on the Mac the Adobe Updater, unfortunately, do not uninstall, you must disable it:
  1. Go to the "Applications" > "Utilities" the Terminal on and start it.
  2. Run the command "defaults write com.adobe.AdobeUpdater.Admin Disable.Update-bool yes". This will create a file of the Updater Updates prohibits.
  3. You can find the file under "Library" > "Preferences".
  4. Check whether the file "com.adobe.AdobeUpdater.Admin.plist" exists there and open it with a double-click.
  5. Under "Disable.Update" a check (see picture).
  6. If that does not help, open a text editor and add the following Text: " 1 "
  7. Save the file under the name "AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat" in the folder "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/". Your Mac will now loads no automatic Adobe-more Updates to download. You can manually move the Patches but continue to install.
