OS X Mavericks: the chat room Messages to set up
In a chat room, you can under OS X Mavericks with several people in a conversation in Messages. However, supports iMessages not directly a function for chat rooms. How it works anyway, you can learn in our practical Tip.

Chat room Messages to set up

The program iMessages does not support chat room feature. This, however, you can still set up. To do this, the potential participants but one Account, Jabber, AIM, Google Talk or Yahoo! possess. In addition, all participants have the same account. If this is the case, simply follow the following instructions:
  1. Start Messages by you in the Spotlight search, the top right of "news". Select the first hit.
  2. Now click in the Apple system tray on "settings" and then "add Account ...". 
  3. Select one of the above-mentioned Services, and follow the instructions.
  4. After the successful set up of your account, then press in the Apple toolbar, click "file" > "enter the chat room". In the next window select your Account.
  5. Enter in the box "room" is the name of the Chatraumes to a chat room to create or use an existing anymore. 
  6. For a backup of the chat room, you need to click on the Plus icon.
  7. While in a chat room, you can by clicking on the Plus icon for add participant.

The display of Messages, you can under OS X Mavericks in the change settings, and so other symbols activate. Then appears a colored icon to the right Status of the user. As the icons change, refer to the following Guide.

The popular chat program "Messages" can be colored icons for the Status of your contacts. This function you need the settings in the following ways:
  1. Start Messages by entering the keyword "mail" in the Spotlight search at the top right corner. Here you select the first hit.
  2. Now click in the Apple system tray on the "messages" and then select "settings".
  3. Under the tab "General", you will now find the Central Option "icons in the status display to use". Put a check mark in the box.

Mac OS X does not show you all the available screen resolutions. You can unlock more, so that your external Display its native resolution.

Mac: system monitors your Mac, you can only between the screen resolutions choose it for the screen as a useful considered. But you want to deliberately use a low resolution and choose help this Trick:

  1. Open the control panel and choose "display".
  2. Switch to the tab "monitors", if you are still not in this.
  3. Click and hold the "ALT"key on the Checkbox "Scaled"
  4. In the list are now more screen resolutions for the Mac, you can now freely choose.

  1. Go to the "Applications" > "Utilities" the Terminal on and start it.

  3. You can find the file under "Library" > "Preferences".

  7. Save the file under the name "AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat" in the folder "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/". Your Mac will now loads no automatic Adobe-more Updates to download. You can manually move the Patches but continue to install.
