Security Essentials with Proxy Security Essentials with Proxy If you are Security Essentials to the safety of a Proxy want to use, you must proceed as follows:
  1. Open the control panel, and then select the "Internet options".
  2. Switch to the Tab "Connections" and then click on the button "LAN settings".
  3. Tick "use proxy server for your LAN".
  4. Type in the address box, type the correct address of the proxy server, including the associated Port.
  5. Save your settings by clicking on "OK".
  6. Start the Windows command prompt by right-clicking and then clicking on "run As Administrator".
  7. Enter the command "netsh winhttp set proxy proxy:proxy port "Bypass List"". Replacing the variables PROXY and proxy port with the actual data, and then press the [enter]key.
