1. Click in Skype in the top menu bar, click actions > "options".
2. In the new window, select the "audio settings".
3. Remove the menu item "microphone" checkmark in front of "Automatic microphone mode to activate" from the Checkbox.
4. Drag the slider next to "volume" to "High".
