With the command prompt in Windows you can quickly set the number of CPU cores to find out. Thus, you can also between physical and logical processors may differ.

Number of processors under Windows 7 determine

1. Click on "Start" and type in the search bar "cmd".
2. Choose the same name on the search Result and open the command prompt.
3. Enter the command "wmic cpu get NumberOfCores,NumberofLogicalProcessors". Then press [Enter].
4. Under "NumberOfCores" you are now the number of physical cores appear. How many processes each core can handle, so the number of logical processors, see "NumberOfLogicalProcessors".
