Pages in Safari to block websites in Safari lock Safari has no special function to Lock individual web pages. On a small detour and it works, however, still quite simple:- Open the Terminal after the "applications" > "utilities".
- Create, for security reasons, first make a copy of your Hosts file by running the command "cp /etc/hosts ~/Desktop/hosts.txt" (without the quotes). Confirm that you want then press Enter.
- Now type in the command "sudo pico /etc/hosts" (without the quotes). Enter your Administrator password when you are prompted, and then press the [Enter]key.
- The Host file will open now after typing in the password. Scroll down to the end of the file.
- Type in a new line to the IP address 127.0.0.1, followed by a space and the blocked web page URL. If you have multiple pages lock want to use for each web page to a new line.
- If you have all the web pages have entered, press [Ctrl] + [O] and then [Enter]key. Make sure that the file has been saved.
- In the Terminal, you only need to flush the DNS Cache. To do this, enter the command "sudo dscacheutil-flushcache" (without the quotes).
- You entered pages are now blocked and is no longer about Safari accessible.
