The Two-factor authentication with PayPal provides more security when you Login. How to activate them, we will show you in this Tip.

PayPal: Two-factor authentication

First, you need Two-factor authentication in your Account to activate it. Log in to PayPal:
  1. Then, under "My profile" > "settings" > "security key" to "First steps".
  2. If you want to Login via SMS to verify this, go to "order Free" under "you have no security key?". Alternatively, you can use a card from PayPal login. This however, costs 23 Euro.
  3. Now you have to enter two Times your mobile phone number. Then you will receive an SMS with a six-digit Code, the one you click on PayPal to enter.

PayPal: With SMS-Code to log in

Sign-up with PayPal to PayPal sign up Now, you need a Login or a SMS Code. To do this, enter as usual, your password and ask for the Code with "send SMS". Alternatively, you can continue with their security log. Also for your Google account, by the way there is a Two-factor authentication. In a further Tip, we show you how to set this up.
