So partitioning under Linux/Ubuntu your hard drive
Before you partition your hard disk, you should make sure that you have all important data saved. The next steps will erase the entire contents, so it is no longer accessible. Then open it in Ubuntu's built-in Tool, by clicking on the Dash icon and "disk management".- Look in the section "memory" > "Local memory" of the hard disk you want to partition.
